Pilgrim Amateur Wireless Association / Team Member Update
Hi Everyone
I’m back in the stunning Azores, this time on the island of Flores. I can’t even come up with the words for this lush tropical landscape. Waterfalls everywhere and giant prehistoric plants. It is unimaginably beautiful.
First reference was a twofer of PT-0290, “Boca da Baleia Forest Reserve” paired with the ubiquitous PT-0279 “Flores Nature Park.” This was just a quick test of my gear after many hours of travel. I stayed long enough to work about fifteen operators, including PAWA Club President Fran Kelly KC1NDQ Laurent Borde F5PYI and Jean Baptiste Coppin F4ILH. Then we had to hustle off to get groceries (a little hit and miss out here!) and check into the rental house.
I’ll be here in Flores and then on Corvo and Sao Miguel for the next two weeks. I hope to activate about 30 references, including 25 POTA ATNOs. If we get a P2P, please log me using my Azores call of CT8/KC1QDZ so that we both get the credit. 73 and best DX from the westernmost point of Europe de CT8/KC1QDZ

I will be in the Azores from 19 February to 5 March using CT8/KC1QDZ as my call. I’ll be in the Western Islands of Flores and Corvo before heading to Sao Miguel for about ten days.
I’m looking to activate about 30 references, of which 25 are ATNOs. Fran Kelly, there will be a few SOTAs in there for you to increase your dominating score. I guess those are POTA/SOTA ATNOs, ha-ha.
