Pilgrim Amateur Wireless Association PAWA Tag Team POTA Club Event / Cookout / Support Your Parks Weekend Location Was – US-2420 Borderland State Park, Easton Mass Event Date – April 18th, 2026 Hosted By, KC1NDQ, Fran, with Marie and Her Staff Members Of Smiths Farm At Borderland Sending Out A Big Thank you to everyone who joined us in the park And on the air to help make this a fun, relaxed and radioactive day Included in this report is a is a Look back at the events that unfolded Throughout the day, But most of all we had an awesome time Enjoying our hobby making memories, beginning a brand new season We don’t just talk about amateur radio and time spent with friends we do it So hang on here we go To start out we had talk in’s along the way and throughout this event On 146.775mhz NA1R West Bridgewater Repeater / Thank you Gary The day was a bit windy, damp and somewhat cold meaning it was 48 degrees And unfortunately the bands were far from being the best But that did not stop our activators along with the hunters from getting on the air And working together as a team to help us accomplish our goals Working, Hf – CW – FT-8 – 2 meters simplex, which helped us shine today The band where we all started helped us complete our logs So remember an h/t is a valuable tool to have in your go bag We had a total of 24 members that stop by to join us
Other members That joined were K1OFO, Joe / N1DH, Dan / And Me N1NTM, Mike For A Total Of 24 Members To Help Us Bring In The New Season And To Make Our Event For Today A Success And Enjoy The Day With Friends We shared new ideas, checked out new gear and enjoyed the stories about Contacts that we made during the day along with our daily activations I had mentioned that we had made some 2 meter simplex contacts the were Made within the park with member to member, does the sound familiar WC1N, Bob, lol, we also were able to make mobile to mobile contacts with Our friends from the great hill gang and one of them included K1UVH, Mike Thank you guys Oh one more thing, we are already looking forward to our next PAWA Tag Team POTA Club Activation from here at Borderland Which with be Saturday May 16th, and every 3rd Saturday once a month After that until October, we will keep you updated along the way Be radioactive and stay connected as we enjoy our amateur radio journey Thank you Talk to you soon, my friends KC1NDQ, Fran / N1NTM, Mike / W1WCF, Walter Pilgrim Amateur Wireless Association
