Let’s See How Far We Can Get Our Signals Through The Autumn Air

Hi Everyone
We may not be at a haunted house, lol but may be a spooky place, you just never know

Subject – Simplex – Haunted House New Autumn Adventure
Mode – 2 Meters
Net Control – Mike, N1NTM / With my tag team Partner – W1FIC, Frank
Location – To be announced

Topic – An Event Designed To Promote Simplex Capabilities With The Change Of Seasons As The Leaves Begin To Fall
Goal – To achieve a direct, same – frequency radio – radio communication without a repeater / And Just have fun

When – Saturday, October 25th, 2025 / The weather looks great, we will have updates if needed
Time – 1:00pm
To Start – 146.775mhz NA1R West Bridgewater Repeater (For Check In’s) Along With Details
Contacts – FM Simplex on the 2-meter band.
Frequencies –   For This One – 146.520mhz / 146.535mhz / 147.480mhz / We will work all 3 / Relaying as well

As we know — line of sight is usually about 5 to 7 to 10 miles and then the curvature of the earth begins to limit your ability to transmit to another person by simplex / But depending on radios / Antennas / Power used let’s see what we can do to start out the spring
One More Thing, Lol – As a rule height is might, but as we have found that is not always the case

Exchange – Exchange items include your call sign, the name Location you are operating from, and your power level
City or Town – Name of the city or town you are operating from

Where – location of your choice
How – Your Ham Shack / Mobile / H/T – Everyone Is Welcome, No Worries
Antennas – Your Choice / Homebrew / Bought / Stock, meaning came with an h/t
But in an unusual Place – Mounted in a tree / On a picnic table / On a tripod –  (If possible If not, no worries)
To Log Your Contacts – Paper / Pencils / Pens

• QRP – 5 watts or less
• Medium Power
• High Power
 Note For This Event
Lets all have our h/ts on stand by on NA1R Repeater if possible, so we can monitor and so we will know when we have returned back to the repeater and for messages if needed

Note – For KC1BEK – After making contacts and returning back to 775mhz would you be net control until we all get back there – Thank you
To Wrap up This Contacts Event – We will all return back to – 146.775mhz NA1R West Bridgewater Repeater – To Exchange
